"Frau, look at the clouds!" he said, pointing upwards. Your attention was elsewhere (on your dear Gilbert, of course), as the both of you laid down on the grass, admiring the warm weather and cool breezes.
Dragging your attention away from the pretty-[awesome]-boy, you looked towards the sky. The wind was rising, as were the clouds. Gilbert waved his arm toward a flying object in the sky. A plane...
"What about the plane, Gil?"
"I think it's writing something... Isn't that awesome?"
The plane was indeed inscribing something onto the blue slate of the sky. It flew in intricate patterns, until you could make out an 'I'.
"I? What's next..."
"Patience, young one," he teased. "It'll probably be an awesome message," he said, smirking at you in his usual Gilbert way. It meant he knew something you didn't, and he wouldn't tell you, no matter what.
You humphed at him, turning your head back towards the sky.
"I...L...I" you said, spelling out the letters. "Ili?"
Gilbert laughed, a ringing laugh. It made a little more than annoyed with him. He grasped your hand in an attempt to placate you.
"I...L...I...K...E...I like?" you asked. He only squeezed your hand gently.
"I like...Y." You knew what was coming. You turned over and placed your face in his neck, blushing madly.
"Gilbert! Why? Whyyy? Now the whole world will know! I can't believe you would do something so obnoxiously loud. No, actually I can..."
He stroked your back with his remaining hand, saying, "Frau, it won't say your awesome name. Look, the plane is finished."
You shook your head, your hair tickling his neck, while he laughed his wonderful laugh.
Nevertheless, you heeded his request.
"I like you, Frau~" was written in the sky, words that mirrored both your hearts.
